Basilico Cafe has repurposed the former Corner Cafe (9307 New La Grange Rd. in Lyndon), with an entirely new yet familiar menu, and a new chef (Cody Noe) but with several key Corner Cafe employees retained.

The restaurant was launched by Raj Bhujel, owner of Clay Oven Indian Restaurant, and Manish Shrestha, one of the owners of Tikka House…although the partners have backgrounds in Indian cuisine, Bhujel said they chose to continue the Italian concept after seeing how much the community missed the Corner Café.

“So, it’s a completely new menu,” (Chef) Noe said. “It’s got similarities in some ways to help people ease into that change, but it’s a new menu. We’ve created some different appetizers than they had. We’ve got some different pastas.”
Basilico Cafe is open six days a week, except Sunday.
