Clifton Tavern’s grand opening has been pegged for Friday, March 6, at 1800 Frankfort Ave., familiar to millions (well, maybe thousands) as the former home of Hilltop Tavern.
A Fb post affirmed opening night hours as 5:00 p.m. to midnight.
On the one hand, Hilltop Tavern is a tough act to follow. But Clifton Tavern’s mission statement summarizes ownership’s grasp of the stakes: “Food. Drinks. Friends.”
(There is reference to a website, www.cliftontavern.com, which doesn’t yet seem to be up and running. When it is, a food menu and further information might be included.)
