Closed: Bravo Italian Kitchen in the East End
Last August, WHAS-11 reported that the parent company of Louisville’s Bravo Italian Kitchen (206 Bullitt Lane) had filed for bankruptcy protection. The company behind a popular Italian restaurant chain has filed for bankruptcy for the second time in five years. Bravo Brio Restaurants, the company behind Brio Italian Grille and Bravo! Italian Kitchen, a pair of upscale Italian chain restaurants, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday. In October, these brands received “strategic investment” funding from R&R Brands. Correlation does not imply causation; nonetheless, Louisville’s Bravo has closed, according to Google and several social media reports. (Note: superfluous exclamation marks have been expunged from the preceding.) Back in 2003, Louisville Business First described Bravo’s arrival in town, including a reminder about the eatery’s predecessor (italics mine).
