The Spring 2024 issue of Food & Dining Magazine is now available in all the familiar places: Louisville area eateries and food shops, newsstands and online.

Going back at least two decades, as various on-line forums started blossoming (later to migrate toward social media platforms), the ones devoted to Louisville-area foodies have reliably expressed a desperation borne of bagel deprivation.
Speaking personally, Nancy’s (now Payne Street Bakehouse) remains fine by me, but it’s also true that there cannot be too many folks striving to build a better bagel, and as such, Michael L. Jones takes to his familiar niche at Louisville Business First and profiles another, coming soon: Earlybird Bagel Shop, at 1039 Ash St. in Germantown, as sharing space with the ever-shapeshifting Six Forks Burgers.
