Thanks to our visit with Jeff Brantley and Sara Height, we can envision the thriving marketplace coming to Shelby Park. The Logan Street Market is expected to open in early 2019 featuring restaurants, a brewery and vendors playing fresh food and drink.

We recorded the show with a heavy heart this week, as we learned of the passing of John Asher just before we started. John, the VP of racing at Churchill Downs, touched both Rick and Carolyn in a special way, and will be missed by horseracing fans the world over.

Carolyn spent a day at the Kentucky State Fair eating corn dogs, balanced with a visit to a vegan restaurant in St. Matthews. Rick shares his story of being among the first to tour the Rabbit Hole Distillery, where he loves the view. He also experienced Jazz in Central Park, a festive and beautiful day in Old Louisville.

At Fourth Street Live!, you can look forward to the weekly Farmers Market, the Battle of the Bluegrass Crossfit Competition and the Dracula Blood Drive. Keep up with us at EatDrinkTalk.net.
