European Patisserie (Facebook/Instagram) has opened at 203 N. Hurstbourne Parkway in the East End on the border with Lyndon, formerly the address of Vinaigrette Salad Kitchen (it closed last August).
This info comes in a roundabout way. Thanks first to RS for the opening prompt. A social media search yielded encouragement courtesy of the Louisville Take Out and Eastern Europeans of Louisville groups at Facebook.
I believe European Patisserie’s ownership is Ukrainian; someone please correct me if not. The Ukrainian city of Lviv is a bucket list entry for me; maybe some day in peacetime. In the interim, perhaps someday we Americans will take the Putin threat seriously.
As a side note for culinary daytrippers, Taste of Ukraine has opened at 106 E Maple St. in Nicholasville KY, only 85 miles from my house. The restaurant was previewed here last fall.
