A year and a half has elapsed since it was first revealed that beer would be “brewed” for the first time since the 19th century (was it ever?) in Georgetown, Indiana at a restaurant to be dubbed Rails & Ales Brew House.
The time has arrived for the eatery’s soft opening days, and it plans to open for regular hours this coming Sunday, as broached earlier this week by Southern Indiana’s reporter of record, Brooke McAfee, at the News and Tribune.
The owners do not have previous experience with brewing beer, and they are working with a North Carolina-based company called EZBrew. “Basically, they do the beginning process of the beer-making, and then they ship it to us, and we finish it,” (co-owner Justin) Juhasz said.
