Louisville Business First’s Zak Owens reports that “a simple sign on the door announced the (Bakersfield’s) closure Thursday.” The restaurant, located in the ground floor space at 1064 Bardstown Rd. — formerly HopCat Louisville — opened on Sept. 12, 2023…a year to the day of it closing.

In a message to Louisville Business First, restaurant management confirmed the closure was permanent. They did not provide a reason for the closure.
