Hilltop Tavern, a beloved Frankfort Avenue bar in Clifton, is set to close for good this month…known for its meatloaf sandwiches, draft beer selection and, allegedly, ghosts, the bar opened in 2012 in a more-than-century-old building at 1800 Frankfort Ave. While Hilltop is going away, the owners of the bar — Skelton Brothers LLC — are set to open up a new bar about three-quarters of a mile down the road at 2235 Frankfort Ave. in the former location of The Hub.
