Jason Brown, owner of Brownie’s “The Shed” Grille & Bar in Plainview (9900 Linn Station Rd.) died last week. Our friend Dan Thomas offered these sentiments, which are shared by a great many.
Jason was one of the best people I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. Because of him and Brownie’s, I’ve met so many lifelong friends. He built a successful business based on knowing people and taking care of them. Gone way too early.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Ross Brown, age 38, of Louisville, who left us unexpectedly on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his home. Born on March 23, 1987, in Louisville, Jason was a beloved son, a cherished friend, and a dedicated community member whose spirit touched the lives of many.
