Chef Jonathan Ham’s Ramen House was launched in 2018, moving to Mid City Mall a year later, and all the while packing them in for traditional ramen, rice bowls, steamed buns, handmade gyoza and killer tonkatsu.
With Mid City Mall’s future doubtful, Ham began looking for new digs, and found it earlier in 2025 at 204 S. Spring St, in Irish Hill, the former home of Gary’s on Spring.
Now after a brief three-week transition, the new location has reopened.
There’s an expanded experience in all respects: a larger kitchen enabling the gradual rollout of new menu items, outdoor patio seating in season, a second floor bar, and the benefits of enhanced walkability and bikeability.
