The Initial Cannabis Business License Application Portal Just Closed. How Many Businesses Have Applied?

Kentucky is set to legalize medical marijuana on January 1, 2025, allowing residents to apply for medical marijuana licenses. While nearly 5,000 businesses have already applied to sell marijuana, only 48 dispensary licenses will be issued through a lottery system starting in October.
