Uncle D’s Franks closes but hopes to shift its dogs to a food truck
Uncle D’s Franks opened in Fern Creek last December, offering a family-friendly atmosphere and bill of fare, and specializing in hand-dipped corndogs cooked in honey, bacon or jalapeño batter, as well as a variety of stacked franks.

With the bricks and mortar location gone, Uncle D’s owners Detrick and Lindsey Prentice are examining food truck possibilities and have started a GoFundMe in support of an envisioned mobile franks flip.

Good morning.
We are devastated to say that we are going to have to close our store.
With this economy, inflation (we’ve literally watched the prices rise every week for weeks), and us not wanting to sell people way over priced food, we aren’t making enough money to sustain.
